Details of Bird Care
When you get a pet bird, we highly recommend bringing him or her in for a comprehensive exam. This exam can consist of:
- Checking your bird's weight
- Checking your bird's stool sample for bacteria and parasites
- Swabbing areas of the bird's digestive tract
- Testing for diseases and viruses that your bird could transmit to humans
After the first exam, we also recommend bringing birds in once a year to make sure that they stay in good health.
