Since it seems everyone these days has an iPhone in their pocket, it's not surprising that there are countless apps for everything under the sun, from cooking to an organization to exercise. But did you know there are some great apps for making sure Fido gets a good walk every day? Here are our top picks for great dog-walking apps. Give them a whirl!

1. MapMyDogWalk

This app combines your fitness with your dog's exercise by tracking your calories burned. With GPS tracking and distance, pace, speed, and elevation measurements, this app is a great way to plan and record your routes. It synchronizes with MapMyWalk.com and allows you to share walk data.

2. Dog Walk - Track Your Dog's Walks!

With Apple Watch compatibility, this app has a few neat features that dog owners may enjoy. For instance, you can record the distance and duration of your walk while also tracking where your dog is doing its business. You can take pictures and add them to your walk records.
