Your dog is your best friend—and for good reason. She's always there for you and probably wags her tail right off when you get home from work every evening. But do you ever wonder if your friend is lonely while you're gone?

Dogs are pack animals, and they crave social interaction. If you work throughout the week, your dog could benefit from even a day or two a week of doggy daycare to keep him healthy, happy, and active. Here are some signs your best friend may be ready for daycare.

1. Energy to Spare—And Then Some

Do you get home every night ready to relax on the couch with Fido, but find he has energy to spare? This could be a sign that your companion isn't getting enough exercise throughout the day and needs a new outlet.

2. Extroverted and Fun-Loving

While it may seem like all dogs are extroverts, this isn't always true. Some dogs have shy personalities and may not do well in the social environment of a daycare. But if your fuzzy friend is an outgoing people- and dog-lover, doggy daycare is a great option.

3. Suffering from Separation Anxiety

Does your pup put up a fight when you grab your keys in the morning? Is she anxious while you're gone all day? Daycare can alleviate this discomfort for you and your dog, especially since they'll receive one-on-one time with other people throughout the day.

4. Plays Well With Others

Does your dog like other dogs? If your canine companion is a social butterfly with others of his kind, doggy daycare is the perfect choice.
