We'd all like to be able to take our pets with us when we vacation, but it's not always possible. Boarding at a top-notch facility is the best way to make sure your pet has a fear free experience. You'll also enjoy your time away much more if you know your pet is in good hands.

Here are a few tips to make sure your dog boarding experience is a good one!

Consider a Trial Run

At Intermountain Pet Hospital and Lodge, we strive to run a fear free environment. We're pet lovers ourselves, so we understand how much you care! We want your pet's stay with us to be as enjoyable as possible. Please feel free to visit our lodge so you and your pet can get comfortable with our environment.

"My Favorite Things"

Your dog will miss you and his home when you're gone. (If he didn't, you'd wonder what was up with that, right?!) Bring his favorite creature comforts like toys or a familiar blanket or rug. He'll feel more secure with a few of his favorite things nearby.

Come By in the Morning

Getting ready for a road trip can be stressful. Your pet may pick up on the unusual bustle of activity, causing him unneeded anxiety. Plan to drop your pet off at the dog boarding facility first thing in the morning. You'll have an easier time getting ready, and your dog will have all day to get accustomed to his surroundings before it's time to go to bed.

Try Our Dog Day Camp!

One of our most popular amenities is Dog Day Camp. It includes fun activities like rousing games of fetch, chasing, wrestling, and swimming. We also practice basic commands and good manners (followed by yummy treats, of course!), and give liberal doses of love in the form of belly rubs and brushes. What's not to love?

Reserve your pet's place at Intermountain Pet Lodge today. We can't wait to get to know you both!
