IPH is an AAHA Accredited Pet Hospital

AAHA Accredited Hospital

What Does AAHA Mean?

Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is the only organization that accredits practices in the United States and Canada. In fact, only 12% to 15% of all veterinary hospitals are accredited.

Accreditation Matters to You and Your Pet

The AAHA Standards of care address over 900 standards of veterinary excellence. These include:

  • Patient care
  • Pain management
  • Surgery
  • Pharmacy
  • Laboratory
  • Exam Facilities
  • Medical Records
  • Cleanliness
  • Emergency Services
  • Dental Care
  • Diagnostic Imagining
  • Anesthesiology
  • Continuing Education

These standards of care are continuously reviewed and updated to ensure accredited practices stay on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence.
