IPH is an AAHA Certified Pet Hospital

IPH is AAHA Accredited

Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals are not required to be accredited. However, at Intermountain Vet, we believe in being the best that we can possibly be, and part of that includes getting accredited. To become accredited, we were evaluated on approximately 900 standards of veterinary excellence.

Accreditation matters to you and your pet, which is why we have taken the steps necessary to gain accreditation. Not all animal hospitals are accredited. Nearly 60% of pet owners think their pet's veterinary hospital is accredited when it is not. In fact, only about 3,600 (12-15%) animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited.

AAHA Accredited HospitalAs the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care. AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry and are consistently at the forefront of advanced veterinary medicine. To maintain accredited status, hospitals undergo comprehensive on-site evaluations every three years.

The Standards of Accreditation are continuously reviewed and updated to keep accredited practices on the cutting edge of veterinary excellence. The standards address patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education.

What does our accreditation mean for you and your pet? It means our hospital holds itself to a higher standard, and that your pet is receiving care at a hospital that has passed the highest standards of veterinary care. We intend to keep it that way.
