Dear Clients,

We are so thankful to have a team that is adaptable with change! On Friday, March 20th, the city of Meridian asked the community, including us, to make a few adjustments in our protocols. Since we are considered an essential business, we feel responsible to keep our doors open to serve you and your pet. We are going to increase our social distancing protocols in an effort to keep you, your pet, and our staff safe. Starting today we will implement the following protocol changes:

  1. Clients will no longer be able to congregate in our lobby or other places within the hospital. Reception will instruct clients at scheduling and appointment confirmation to please call upon arrival and wait in their car until they can be escorted into an open exam room. We are also encouraging clients to take advantage of curbside appointments. A similar protocol will be followed for picking up pets after procedures, boarding, or grooming.

  2. If your pet needs a medication refill before April 5th, we request that you call in your medications at least 48 hours before you will need them. Once they are available for pick up please call when you have arrived, and we will bring medications and food out to your car. Payment for the medication or food will be collected over the phone.

  3. If you pet is currently being hospitalized at either of our locations and you would like to visit your pet, we will bring you and your pet into an exam room for the visit. Currently we are unable to allow any clients into our treatment, ICU, or X-ray area unless there is a life-threatening emergency.

Just a reminder that we do offer telemedicine, pet taxi, and parking lot appointments. We appreciate everyone and thank you for choosing us to be your partner is your pet’s life.

This order is in effect from the city of Meridian until April 5th, 2020.  As more information comes out that has an effect on any protocols mentioned above, we will let you know.

Sincerely,

The IPH Staff
